Re: Woolworths Memories...

I remember getting Hammerhead in Woolies. For some reason it's a really clear memory. I was holding the card really looking at the picture, my mum saw a friend and started chatting, and her friends son was looking at my Hammerhead and he was asking his mum to get it for him. I thought he wanted to t...

Re: Any model builders uk or us that could do a restoration for me ?

You could try silver leaf. I've done bits of gilding for artwork and it's very chrome like, much more so than spray paint. You would also need a varnish to stop it coming off. It's tricky. For the blue you could paint over the chrome with the right colour ink. It would have to be ink not paint to le...

Re: Darth Vader tour photos wanted

I saw him at Kerrisons in Gt Yarmouth. No photos, but I clearly remember looking over the side of the staircase that he was walking up when he made his entrance. Brilliant, can't remember if I got anything, just loads of us kids who all went quiet as he appeared.

Great photos guys.

Re: Rogue one *full trailer* released (SPOILERS)

mmm... The best stuff was the Star Destroyers, Emperors Royal Guards and the OT Stormtroopers. Not sold at all on Felicity Jones, another feisty female lead. There's nothing in the style if shots that feels anything like the OT. It's got OT stuff in it (great) but it's shot like Black Hawk Down - fr...

Re: Is Rogue One going to be a REAL Star Wars film?

I wasn't too interested in this when it was first announced, but having seen some pics of "proper" OT Stormtroopers I'm beginning to feel the hype. Star Destroyers and Tie Fighters should also be in it, a long with Vader. Certainly sounds like Star Wars to me (much more so than the prequels ) plus I...

Re: Correct Release Order of the First 12 Figures?

This is pretty interesting, the SKU numbers for all the figures.

I'm guessing the Yoda one might be a mistake. Time for some rearranging.

Re: What are the best original versions out there

Just get the most recent versions of Harmy's Despecialized editions. They're the only way to watch the OT.

Re: Top 5 OT scenes (possible spoilers)

Really tough to pick just five, but here goes. 1. The cantina scene. 2. Falcon asteroid chase - from beginning to end, Boba Fett being one step ahead of them. 3. Stormtrooper fight in Cloud City with Leia, Chewy and Lando chasing Han/escaping on the Falcon - I've always like this sequence as you see...

Re: Top 5 TFA Moments

Lots to choose from, but off the top of my head in no particular order. 1. The Falcon reveal 2. Rey flying the falcon so that Finn can fire the jammed gun and hit the tie fighter - that whole sequence is great. 3. BB8's thumbs up. 4. Han and Chewy coming out of hyperspace within the planet's atmosph...

Re: Talk about new Star Wars movie, do not read if you have NOT seen it

I'm opinionated, and said that right from the "welcome" thread I got when I arrived here a few months back. I just didn't expect this level of backlash. Cheers, and I hope everyone has a good Christmas. Ian Well, if you're that opinionated you will have to deal with people not sharing your opinion,...

Re: Rey,s parentage.

I think the reading of the Force in the OT was that anyone could use it if you believed strongly enough in it and yourself. Kind zen thing going on, which is why an audience could relate (and another thing the prequels completely fucked up). So having Rey as a new character would really open that up...

Re: Rey,s parentage.

What? Why do you all want her to be Luke's daughter? It's too much of a coincidence. Plus she says that she thought Luke was a myth. She's a new character, what's the problem with that. It's a big galaxy, why make it smaller. They could go with the whole idea that the Force is guiding these characte...
