Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

Another enjoyable episode (ep4), but for me, it's been the weakest so far. Bit of a predictable 'Magnificent Seven' plot, that seemed more of a sidestep than advancing the plot. Gina Curanos character was well handled and at least she looks the part. Built like a brick shithouse, you can well believ...

Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

Thoroughly enjoyed Episode 3. Still very slow burn, with minimal dialogue, which is no bad thing. My only niggle is that we got a few repeated scenes from the first episode. We got the flashback scene again, which at first was a bit off-putting, but realised we're getting drip fed more info (glimpse...

Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

Great review Bonsai. The Sandcrawler fight gave me a huge nostalgia rush of playing the SNES Super Star Wars game, back in the day. Utiniii!!! Still cautious, but so far I'm loving it. It's like a Star Wars Weekly comic strip brought to life. Huge potential of growing into a fantastic series and bri...

Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

So Yoda Thingy is a Force user. I think we all basically suspected that one. Really enjoyed this, especially the Jawas and the Sandcrawler scuffle. Although, apart from the Yoda Baby revelation, I don't think this episode moved the story along much. Still only minor niggles, still loving the series ...

Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

Apparently, the scientist working with Werner Herzog is wearing an emblem that connects him to Kamino.
Maybe cloning Baby (Not) Yoda??
Intriguing.

Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

Watched it for a second time and aside from a few minor niggles, I still absolutely loved it.
Can't wait for the next episode on Friday.

Feels great to say that about a Disney Star Wars offering, after the divisiveness of the last couple of years.

Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

Well that was great.
Really enjoyed that, shame it was only 38 mins.
Going to have to watch it again, as there's so much to take in.
Loving all the OT references.

Give a trilogy to Favreau/Filoni, godammit!

Same here. Got a full set with gifts, plus the holiday specials.
More sentimental than anything, but would like to know a ballpark figure on worth.

Fantastic. Congrats.
Along with the Topps bubblegum cards, these are some of my earliest memories of SW merch.
I still find it amazing that this type of stuff has survived for 40+ years.

Hope you got them for a good price, as they always seem to go for a hefty price.

The legend that is Eric Butts

Bless him. Wish I had a tenth of his enthusiasm for the ST.
He definitely is a glutton for punishment though.

Re: Full TROS Trailer and Tickets Tomorrow!

Thought the trailer was OK. Good points: The visuals were absolutely stunning and the music was very evocative (Mr Williams does it again). The space battle scenes look suitably epic and I also enjoyed the Palpatine teases (loved the throne design - great homage to McQuarrie). I'm still very dubious...

Re: The Last Jedi

Blah blah blah ... End with Battle of Hoth in the desert... credits roll. Everyone around me leaves the cinema in disappointed silence. Great summation of this "cinematic masterpiece". I've never walked out of a film, but my God, I was so damn close during this fiasco. The creeping realisati...
