Re: Celebration 2007

Good photo. Long while ago now, I’d only just started collecting. I had no knowledge of Celebration then. Is that Spoons with the curly mop 2nd right??! Edd does look about 12. I mean that as a compliment, I prob looked about 40 then and I was 31!

Paypal problem, sorted - please delete

I sold some cardbacks to someone on ebay and ebay and paypal have told me they've sold and been paid for but when I look at my paypal balance the money is not there?! The transaction is there in paypal and it says payment received etc but there's no money. It says on the summary on that transaction ...

Re: Split cardback

I sent the figure and card back and the seller refunded me today with a nice message. I like these kind of ebayers, some get so shitty. In the same vein I had to repackage it and make a trip to the post office but I'm not pissed off. I got my money back so no harm done.

21 English pounds with an ok R2 sensorscope. I prob would have kept the R2 but I could have sold him and kept the card so the price was decent enough.

Split cardback

I bought an R2 sensorscope that came with it's Palitoy 45B cardback. I bought it for the cardback, not the figure, I'm doing a Palitoy cardback run. It's turned up and its fucking split throught the card, bottom left corner where the bubble was, and the litho surface on the back is paper thin and so...

I remember SW references in that, and Star Trek. There’s a load of Slave Leia’s behind them at the beginning at Comicon and other things through the film.

Re: Which Imperial Blaster is this ?

I’m not an expert but it doesn’t look right to me. I’ve not seen one with that big circle on the side and the chunk of plastic on the bottom. Whether it is or isn’t a repro it looks to have been damaged, the surface looks very pitted, they’re normally fairly smooth.

Doh! Yeah.. I missed that one. Saw it on eBay and copied link straight over without looking at any of the other threads. Are they fucking insane?! You could get 2 or 3 R2 Mocs for that price.

Re: Buying in the 80's how we used to buy figures

That’s a great story, I too love to hear about these experiences. I’ve also mentioned in other threads about my memories of buying SW figures in toy shops in Essex where I grew up. You’re a little older than me and I don’t remember hunting for toys/figures on my own but I have some very clear memori...
