Re: Atat walker chin gun or guns please!

Yep - you might as well buy another AT AT walker, which is silly really. The alternative is repro which stick out like a sore thumb, and I’d rather have yellow-y vintage ones!

Expecting to pay 40-45, and at least on here saves seller giving eBay a cut !

Atat walker chin gun or guns please!

If I’m going to have to pay over the odds for chin guns, then it might as well be on here!!

If you have chin guns for sale then let me know ... one or two ... they will be for finishing off my ATAT walker which I’ve neglected to do for aaaaaaages. Many thanks 8)

Re: Spot the legs?

Pulling this kind of stunt would put me off bidding on any of their auctions. It’s pathetic, charity or not.

I reckon these will be worth loads one day.
Maybe not, but they are a heck of a lot cheaper than vintage, that’s for sure. Collecting stuff you like for fun is cool 8)

Re: Darth Vader Tie Vader valuation

I’ve got to agree with the chaps above - it’s very nice!but the price in an auction isn’t going to run away / go well over the odds. There’s a fairly standard sort of price you get for this sort of thing. You *might* get 10 quid or so more on eBay, but once fees are paid it won’t make much differenc...

Re: Alleged footage for cancelled Star Wars: Underworld project

Saw this the other day. The shots look good but the close ups, dialogue, acting, sound mix etc seems very wooden and stilted. Like a very well done fan film (so it’s probably genuine!) Watching it reminded me of when I spent 24 hours downloading the phantom menace on a dial up modem months before th...

Re: Valuation Request: Incomplete Pop-up R2D2

I’m sure on eBay auction you’d get at least 50-60 for it. That said I wouldn’t be surprised if you got 80-90. IMO Prices are erratic at the moment, my feeling is there are fewer buyers around so many auctions aren’t quite as competitive as they were a couple of years ago for run-of-the-mill stuff, b...

Re: How Do You Rank The SW Movies Now?

Although I don’t mind a few of the new films and found them entertaining (Solo/ROS), for me the sequels and especially the prequels do nothing but diminish the original films. I occasionally try to watch the prequels and people seem keen to convince me they are any good, particularly Revenge of the ...

Re: 43 year s late, I spot a joke in ANH.

I had Star Wars on beta max. The picture quality was so bad I mistakenly thought as a kid that when Vader choked out the admiral in the Death Star that he made him spew up an egg yolk?!? Only when I watched it later that I realised it was a big button on the desk... Funny some of those misconception...

Re: The Retro Collection Continues...

had a feeling they might move on to ESB for this wave. Not sure how well a few of those (like Lando) will do given you can buy vintage for not much more. Quite like the ideas of Yoda though as the price he fetches now for vintage is too high for me, I’d settle for a tenner retro version for display ...

I agree Michael. This isn’t the hard sell Wild West a la eBay / facebook etc where you might expect some shenanigans from time to time (goes with the territory). It’s a collectors forum, and I’m sure 99% of folk on here understand how to conduct themselves and deal with any issues that come up (- re...

Re: Selling Etiquette

I just think taking good quality pictures which show the item clearly (and doesn’t mask any issues) is fine for most stuff. The problem with being too fussy about written descriptions is that condition is very subjective, and if you start to describe issues that you spot, someone might then call you...

Re: Space efficient (and cheaper) alternative to Star Cases

They’re really good / cheap for display and storage. Especially if like me you’d rather spend the £ on actual vintage, and I only have relatively cheap Mocs in any case. Star cases for me are too cumbersome, and I actually think they look crap anyway. I find acrylic cases look nice, but very easily ...
