Re: UKG 90 Han Solo Pinhead... REALLY?

When I started collecting I bought an 85 grade C3PO...It had black thread tied around the limbs to make them feel tighter than they were. I could see the thread in the case and it was even easier to spot in hand when I smashed open the case! Since then I’ve had plenty of graded figures and the obvio...

Re: How Do You Rank The SW Movies Now?

Best to worst for me ... 1. Star Wars 2. Empire 3. Jedi (Massive gap) 4. Rise of Skywalker 5. Rogue One - for all the OT throw backs (Another gap) 6. Force Awakens - for the first half n hour which was great 7. Solo - like Mandalorian, not bad , just very ... sterile. 8. The making of the phantom me...

Re: SPOILERS THREAD-The Rise of Skywalker-SPOILERS THREAD

Second viewing. This time not at midnight. Liked it the first time, loved it the second time. Just a fun Star Wars film - my favourite outside the OT - especially good as it had to go some to undo the damage done by TLJ. The second time around i I noticed lots of extra stuff (cloning technology for ...

Re: Episode 9 for those of us who hated TLJ

I feel the same as most guys above... I left the TLJ screening feeling numb / slightly like I’d died a bit inside, so the bar for this one was low.

Was it a really good film? Nope

Was it entertaining? Yes

Am I too old for new Star Wars films? Probably.

Re: SPOILERS THREAD-The Rise of Skywalker-SPOILERS THREAD

Just got back from cinema... first thoughts: Criticisms first: I thought it was very cheesy and dialogue was flat in places. Plot convoluted and needed tightening up. Some unnecessary and bizarre bits (the spy reveal, silly space horses, too many new characters etc). BUT despite all that I enjoyed i...

Bluetooth stormtrooper speaker discounted

I know this is modern and in the wrong section but did think it might appeal to vintage boys n girls given the maker / limited run / nice box / certificate etc + guaranteed delivery in time for Xmas ends in a few hours. When these first came out they were 250... then 150... (Both bonkers prices). no...

Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

I’d be amazed if there is a good explanation for the tracker fobs because it’s a really daft idea. It’s a plot device to explain how you find somebody really quickly when they could be literally anywhere in the entire universe. The imperials and the bounty hunters could certainly have made good use ...

Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

If I was a kid I would no doubt think it was fantastic, but for me the storylines are just too simplistic to really grab me, besides the fact it’s Star Wars and I’m a fanboy! You could write the plot on the back of the fag packet - it reminds me of 80s tv in its simplicity, like an episode of knight...

Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

Just watched the third episode. I did enjoy it, and it does feel very Star Warsy which is great, but it’s is very simple story, and I kind of wish there was a bit more to it, a few intertwining storylines perhaps. Every episode also seems to resolve itself, and tv shows are ideal for cliff hangers an...

Cheers for the advice chaps - I can see the bugger!

This now means I have to sort through my guns again more carefully as the one that I thought was a saltburn repro that I was comparing it with might not be then  All a bloody headache as my eyesight isn’t the best

Re: !!SPOILERS!! The Mandalorian Spoilers Allowed Discussion Thread

I do like it but I feel the same about it as I do the animated series Favreau has been involved with. I like the storylines, packed with nice ideas, but there just isn’t enough dialogue in it. This is fine in an animation, but it just feels like it needs to be padded out and a little less linear. Ev...

Repro or not - help needed

Hi all, Picked up a loose lot of vintage for a decent price. There were a few accessories and as it didn’t mention anything in the listing I just assumed they would be repro. When they arrived they felt very good (not like the old repro where they just felt wrong!) and all floated. The ewok staffs a...
