    Ebay payment change again!!

When I got that email, this bit at the beginning "More protection for your buyers" filled me with dread. It's just too easy to be scammed by buyers now so that didn't go down well for me. But it seems like eBay does have an end game in mind with the whole thing and we are probably not finished...

Kenner's First 12 Action Figures Explored

Hi, It's almost always a mistake to include valuations on static information pages (both books and web sites). Prices move all the time so you will quickly be out of date. And yes, you are right - prices can appear very inconsistent. That is just the nature of the hobby I'm afraid. If you feel...

Thinking of selling complete 77-85 Run

Very collector specific your questions. For a lot of people, when they complete a challenge (like a full set of figures), they then turn their attention to another challenge like an MOC run, or go after some variant figures. The hunt seems to appeal to collectors more so than the acquisition for...

Jeff Jacob selling his entire collection in 2025 with Hakes.

There is a decent interview about it all here: https://viewer.joomag.com/antique-toy-world-interview-with-jeff-jacob/0292468001733778466/p2?short=

Trying to gauge value of certain pieces in a collection

Glad you are finding it useful! Personally, I don't think the A-Wing pilot with that eyebrow details warrants anything extra, and should not detract any value either. And you are right - Star Wars Tracker does not provide a price guide for opened MOC cardbacks. As mentioned, you can probably do...

Trying to gauge value of certain pieces in a collection

I run www.starwarstracker.com which has over 10 years worth of historical pricing across the world and various markets in addition to eBay. So it might help you find some reference pricing for things that are difficult to currently find on eBays rolling 90 day history window. It is a paid...

    eBay Selling Fees

Thanks. I did not realize this was out there and in operation right now. I have read through it all and just done the checklist tool. I think there is a glimmer of hope for collectors selling personal possessions though. Not all collectors would be classed as this, but some of us definitely are...

    eBay Selling Fees

I could not find any mention of this income reporting in the terms and conditions. Can you give a reference?

    eBay Selling Fees

Really interesting move by eBay, and I wonder what has prompted this turn around of strategy for them. Where did you hear this out of interest? I wonder what percentage the buyer fee will be ...

Toy of the week 2, Week 15, 2024, Chewbacca Bandolier Strap

Gawd I hated this thing, even when I first got it. My mum bought it for me and I'm sure that is how it went for anyone that ended up with it. I think all parents were sucked in by this image and imagined their own darlings the same way. There is no practical reason to be taking your figures to...

    eBay Selling Fees

Ok, so I have just read through all T&C I could find. I can't find any reference to a £1,500 limit anywhere. So all this bit I put above can be classed as fake news until otherwise proven. I always like to understand how businesses make money, so here is my take now. eBay now charges for...

    eBay Selling Fees

I'm glad this is being asked - I wanted to post a similar question. From what I have seen others say (but I have not verified this myself in the T&Cs), it seems 100% free for the seller here in the UK if the item sells to another address in the UK. If it sells to the US for example, then fees...

    Are this moc fine ?

Looks like a very nice example to me. As for the yellowing, perhaps sunlight light and temperature play a part. But if that's true, then I'll also add that "being kept in the dark" turns bubbles yellow too! The majority of my MOC have been stored in a dark closet for 20 years and most of the...

Price Guide for first 12 loose in good condition (with weapons)

Yes, exactly. Going by your definition and price range - "decent one" would equate to something in the 80-90 percentile band (line up 10 examples, and it would be as good or better than the other 8). There are clearly some outliers here. Some for no good reason (drunk bidding?!?), but others...

Price Guide for first 12 loose in good condition (with weapons)

I never track prices for incomplete figures, there is little point. So above is for complete, original weapon examples. The screenshot above is also non-graded data. A graded search would yield much higher costs (also possible with the app)
