Read the Forbes article the other day and I can't get my head around these production budgets. They are wildly different (substantially more) to previously quoted figures e.g. Box Office Mojo have TFA @ $245 million. These new figures are twice that...
Good question and a very hard choice. I probably agree with yours, although gatecrashing the end of the trench run, the escape from Hoth/asteroids and turning up at the Battle of Crait in (TLJ) are all standouts.
I think they'd welcome the extra footfall in Croatia. They rely a lot on tourism and can support it fine, as far as I know. Been twice (first time when Yugoslavia was still in one piece) and again for a big family holiday a few years ago. Beautiful place. Dubrovnik is simply stunning. Wildlife...
Yeah, being released so soon after the divisive TLJ was stupid. Should've let the dust settle, then give it a decent promotional push, as a separate, stand alone SW movie. Christmas release. Would've made at least twice as much, probably more.
A series would've worked really well. The film set up huge potential for follow-ups, but it bombed so badly, meaning everything got shelved. Still baffled by the release date and lack of Disney promotion.
It will be interesting to see if the Lando movie ever gets off the ground and if it picks...
Surely NOTHING can be as bad as Willow :ROFLMAO: She won me over a bit with her interview on the link above. She was REALLY into the 90's EU stuff etc- sounds like a proper fan. I like the idea of the thriller/mystery story, Jedi being knocked off etc. Decent cast, too. Has great potential and...
Really like the look/sound of this and the interview with Leslye Headland is very encouraging. My one reservation is that I hope it doesn't go too down the martial arts route, but I'm happy to go with it. Love the poster.

ROTJ, Cheltenham Odeon, 1983. My Dad took me and my sisters. I remember the queue went all the way down to the High St. I saw SW the year before at my mate's house- he'd taped it off ITV. I remember when it aired, I badgered my parents forever about watching it and I remember the TV Times very...
I can't imagine it, as we grew up with those guys. Mark H, although maybe not the best actor, IS Luke Skywalker. Just can't imagine someone like William Katt in the role.
Both prequels and sequels have proved to be incredibly devisive! I like the prequels and they have a certain nostalgia for me (nothing can compete with the OT for me though!). However, dreadful scripts, poor acting and overuse/dodgy CGI have taken their toll. Much prefer the sequels- much better...
Lol, I was there, too! Watched it twice over there, then another 4 times when it came out here. Loved it at the time, but over the years, it's declined somewhat, in my estimation. Much prefer it to AOTC though.
