1977 Black Stormtrooper Figure

Hi all

I recently found a black stormtrooper figure in a box of vintage Star Wars I purchased and assumed it was a modern figure but on closer expectation I saw he had 1977 stamped on his leg. I couldn't find anything about him online so listed it on eBay and have received a few messages along the lines of…wow you've hit the jackpot. Does anyone have any idea what it is? Someone has suggested it could be an Uzay…which I know nothing about. Photos attached
