Just wondering what your top 3 Bond movies are?

mine

3) From Russia with Love
2) Goldfinger
1) On Her Majesty's Secret Service (yes the one with him in it)

1. Dr No....Connery at his best and the iconic line" no MR Bond...I expect you to die"

2. The Spy WhoLoved Me....thought this was Roger Moore s best, cracking opening off the cliff

3. From Russia With Love .....Connery again. . Robert Shaw was brilliant

Love Bond...grew up with the films, got to admit though, the original Bonds were awesome, but Daniel Craig is pretty good.

Is there another film in the pipeline ?

Good question. My top 3, in no particular order:

1. Goldfinger (great fun, and set the template for many of the other films)

2. OHMSS (most faithful to the book, John Barry's best score. Had Connery done it would of been best in the series)

3. The Spy who loved me (best 70's bond, Moore's best. Essentially a remake of You only live Twice but I love it).

Live and Let Die
The Spy Who Loved Me
For Your Eyes Only (possibly the most underrated Bond movie?)

I know I should really have a Connery one in there, but I grew up watching Moore ;)

I'm impressed chaps

Mike - yep Robert Shaw - superb . that fight on the train... yum yum

Fishtalk - spot o OHMSS is my fave - best blofeld also - if only Connery had done it (or Moore)

Cazzavr - love your selection - Lie ad let die was so close to going on my 3 - and yes FYEO is so underated brill thriller

great stuff chaps :D

Not expecting much support on these choices but these are my absolute favourites.

Live and Let Die
View to a Kill (just for walken, I love it)
Casino Royal (it's a close call between this and Skyfall)

Blimey, Casino Royale not getting a look-in?!

That would definitely be my number 1. Head and shoulders.
Really not sure which ones i'd chose for the next 2 spots.
Goldeneye is a good one. And there was one with Timothy Dalton which is excellent and one that is not so much. I can never remember which is which.
For nostalgia i love Live and Let Die and Moonraker tho i'm aware they're not the strongest. Love cheesy Roger Moore. ;)
Dr No and Goldfinger would also have a chance of being in my top 3.

You were doing well until number 3.

1. Goldeneye (on the N64 not the film  )
2. The Spy Who Loved Me (the Union Jack parachute, the Lotus and Jaws)
3. Live and Let Die (Live and Let Die)

Dalton is underrated Pete

Both of his are good - Licence to Kill is the one where he goes "solo" and goes after the drug lord Sanchez played by the brill Robert Davi.

Many fans hated this one though...

Casino Royal - love this film. For some reason I didn't get into Skyfall but thought QOS was ok'ish

Moonraker - it's a bit silly but for me Roger Moore is the man when it comes to Bond

A View To A Kill - because i love Christopher Walkden as any villain, and Duran Duran's ace theme song :D

....i am not a Bond aficionado :?

In no particular order

Casino Royale- i don't understand how people dont like this, i thought the two after it were woeful attempts but this is awesome and wipes that Woody Allen / David Niven claptrap off the face of the earth. QoS is pretty much a follow on of the film from where it left off.

Goldfinger - My fave Sean Connery film.. but I like them all. ***** Galore, gadgets.. and it pretty much was the standard bearer for the franchise.

Live and Let Die - Bond Blaxploitation movie.. amazing 70s atmosphere to the film. Also had a brief role by chesty Madeline Smith..

After that it all got a bit silly... although it picked up with Licence to Kill.

Well spotted RE Madeline Smith :D

Love Love and let die - that brill soundtrack

They got more liek a panto later on - but spy and eyes only are great

I love them all to be honest

I'd be interested to hear what your 3 least favourite Bonds are Andy, like you I love Bond with a passion but some are weaker than the others. So, my 3 least favourite, again no order:

The Man with the Golden Gun. (Hate to say it, but this bores me. Weak story, very little and weak action, the worst henchman ever, Nick-Nack, the attempt to toughen up Moore by having him slap Maude Adams is out of place and doesn't work. Even the much hyped spiral car jump is ruined by the cartoon sound effect. Oh, and the return of Sheriff J.W. Pepper, the Jar-Jar Binks of the Bond franchise).

Die Another Day. (People say the series jumped the shark with Moonraker, but I say it's this. Not a big fan of Pierce Brosnans Bond, and this is the worst. Bond can be over the top and still work, but this is so unbelievable it hurts. An invisible car, really? Plus a dull bad guy and PlayStation quality CGI. Did I mention the invisible car)?

Quantum of Solace. (Again, this bores me. I think Craig is brilliant and Casino Royale a fantastic reboot, but this just doesn't work for me. Just dull and slow. Thankfully Skyfall put things right again).

Totally agree with Die Another Day. Worst Bond film by a mile. Absolute tosh!

Great question Fishtalk (do you collect Bond buddy - I have quite a bit)

OK - I think MWTGG is underrated - I really like it - Christopher Lee :D

Probably any of the Brosnan films (Although I like the first two)

Agree also Die another day - yuk. I have it on blu ray but haven't watched it since it first came out

World is not enough - (not a big Bronsan fan)

Although Moonraker is fairly weak I don't really want to put it in my worst Bonds as I will happily watch it, but would probably be no 3 in my list

Drax is a poor villian I think.

I don't collect Bond stuff any more, but used to have several interesting items in the eighties which I'm ashamed and embarrassed to say I later threw away. A boxed Airfix Moonraker shuttle, the classic Corgi Aston Martin DB5 (no packaging and a bit battered and missing the Korean agent of course) and original U.K quad posters for Live and Let Die, Spy who Loved Me and Moonraker. I've kicked myself many times since.
I do still have the the special Action man of Bond in his bright yellow and red ski suit from the Spy who Loved Me, and the Sideshow Jaws from the Moonraker pre-credits sequence.

Nice one mate

Got the Gold 60s Corgi in it's box. Got those two figs also. I the TSWLM Action man is the best one of that series I think

I think my fave piece is a cogi boxed moonbuggy from 1972 :D

My bond stuff i in a cupboard however :(
