I managed to find my Darth Maul mask which I bought back in 1999. Just thought I'd share it for reference.
Not sure what kind of rubber but it's not yet started to crack or go brittle. Still quite good condition for 25 years old. I've used it for the odd Halloween party of the years - looks good in the dark! There are slits below the painted eyes to see. One of only a few Episode I items of merchandise I kept. I had a talking Jar Jar but didn't keep that very long
