I love those Kraft der Macht sets. I had no idea there were so many different sets out there and i dont think i'd seen that variation with the Biker and AT-AT Driver before. Very cool!

Very entertaining reading. Make sure you read the link back to the original SWFUK thread!

Wow $5k-$10k in 2009. I had no idea they were so expensive.

Well, they did but if that idiot hadn't bid to win and flip them they probably would have ended up selling for far less (and gone to better homes!). It's true that some of those sets had previously sold for far more than the ones Vectis had but they were also in far better condition too.

The hobby has always had big spenders, even 10-15 years ago but the difference between then and now is that those guys were throwing money at real rarities..(the ones you have to do your homework on to even know they exist in the first place!) not AFA 85 12 backs or crystal clear bubble POTF figures!

Know what you mean about those non-rare "grails". Some of the stuff I've seen on Facebook recently in focuses has been just amazing (you never see up for sale). Was admiring someone's Biker Scout focus last night. He had proofs, prototypes, print sheets, card samples, miscards etc. Just drooling stuff.

Which is why it cheeses some of us off seeing these self-proclaimed "big shots" with their everyday collections.

Definitely. That's the reason I have no real desire to own a MOC Fett. Seems to be more 21 backs than Niktos lol. Also why I've chosen to break up my 12 backs - nothing rare about them.
