[QUOTE="SOJ, post: 342047, member: 5526"] I bought a job lot of items recently in a local find. The main reason for the purchase was the ESB X-Wing box. There was an an x-wing in the lot that was pretty beat up but as I already had one my intention was just to fill the box with that. When I collected the lot I realise that the x-wing was the grey version. For the longest time I thought this verison was a modern vehicle as I only ever owned the White version and only recently discovered the grey one was in fact vintage. My other perhaps misapprehension was that the grey version was released much later in the line and not in the UK however on closer inspection of the PALITOY box the pictured vehicle it did appear to be the grey version printed on it. Also the actual x-wing itself has been manufactured without the electronics but blue button on top to activiated the sounds is in place, suggesting to me this a Palitoy version. As this was also from a childhood collection it would also suggest this X-Wing came from this box. Got some question hopefully someone can help answer: Are my assumptions correct? Was the grey version release widely in the UK? Been looking one eBay and can't see that many examples of them. Was it released in the Empire box? Was the White verison release in the same box?
