JAWA Blasters ahhhhhhhh

I recently obtained a complete Jawa via this forum.

Last week I bought another via ebay. This second one only had the blaster no cape.

I looked @ the blaster, with the raised bump & thought maybe a fake weapon, but a good quality one.

Then I looked at the figure I had obtained via here & that has NO bump on the blaster @ all & is susposed to be 100% authentic !

So I headed to Immperial Gunnery & it looks like both are Authentic !

But frankly I am not sure, and I'd welcome some views please ?

Both blasters are correct for the Jawa although the black one might be suspect ( not sure about the blue one).

Get yourself a cup of water and put both in it. They will float if real although I have heard that some new repros will also float now.

Let us know what the outcome is.

The black one looks fake to me. I think Jawa only came with a dark blue blaster. Also look at the sculpt at the front of the barrel on the flash hider, according to rebelscum the groove is supposed to be v shaped and not square.

Also the line above the clip on the back one (on the side with no bump), goes all the way across unlike the blue one which I think is incorrect.

Both pass the float test.

Sadly, put a little pressure on the black blaster & it sunk ! The Blue / black one did not sink, so repro it was. Frustrating. Repro drives me mad. Better no weapon than repro

That's a shame but at least you know now what to look for. These repros really are a problem. :evil:

I contacted the seller. An apology and an offer to retur. The Jawa. I can't see the point in returning it when it was 9.99....but feel really a bit annoyed so maybe I should have. My anger has increased after spotting that my Luke Stormtrooper weapon is Repro too...although good, and very much a match...but the sucker sunk. God knows how many more weapons I might find myself stung by now !
