Love this mate, I'm ashamed to say I think this is the first look I've had at your focus
I can whole heartedly get behind this sort of collection, I've got a bit of a childhood theme going myself at the minute from Star Wars to other bits.

Thanks fellas 8) Carl, great minds 8)

Forgot to say I also got complete UK sets of blue and red Topps cards. Still got my childhood ones (in my scrapbook), although I never had a complete set.

Yeah, they're great. Remember them so clearly. The cards are fairly easy to find, but the scenes seem as rare as SW Shreddies.

Shamelessly pasted from my recent post in Latest Aquisitions:

Possibly my two favourite 'aquisitions' ever! I know they're not merchandise, so hope it's OK to post them in here...

Was at my parents' yesterday and was looking at my old Scalextric toys with my eldest son. We found a bag full of my old primary school books etc, which turned out to be very entertaining. In with these, were two posters I had drawn at home. The space scene would've been around 1980, when I was 7 and the Boba was 1981-2, when I was 8 or 9 (I got him for Christmas in 1981). Both pictures are unfinished- you can see why I gave up on the space scene  My Dad was an architect and used to have reams of old drawings that he didn't need anymore. They were massive and the back was always blank, so perfect for my drawings 8) Absolutely stoked to find these!

Amazing, how good are they! Subconsciously I think most kids from the 70's, 80's could draw that Boba Fett, it's remarkable.

The space battle is priceless as well. 8)

Just noticed you've gone red as well, about time.

I am very impressed you can remember both the dates and places you bought most of your childhood pieces, those memories are priceless and I would imagine your focus brings them all flooding back.

Been ages since I updated this. Lost the will, to be honest, but have recently had a bit of a renaissance. Managed to bag a cut bubble ESB Palitoy Leia Hoth. The stem was quite crushed and there was no footer. Did a little bit of a salvage and am quite pleased with the results. Used a chopstick to carefully push the dent out of the stem, taped the gun to the bubble and made a footer ;)

Also got hold of a Shreddies advert and also the ROTJ Palitoy competition leaflet that I've been after for an eternity. Ian (Palifan) helped me out with this one 8)

Finally managed to bag a Star Wars TV Times, which I've also been trying to find for ages. Andy Preston kindly helped me out with this one 8) Still have the poster from this stuck in my childhood scrapbook, but wanted the complete edition.

So, still need Palitoy Sandpeople mask, 1 Shreddies scene, Cliro R2D2 bubble bath and a Palitoy 20-back DSD

Barry Chuckle RIP :(

MY latest MOC, freed from prison straight away. Was perfectly happy with the cut bubble Leia Hoth, but this came up for a reasonable price. Sold a few bits to fund it.

Nice Leia Hoth. 8)

I've just noticed your Luke X-Wing as a child was brought at a seaside shop in Cornwall, can you remember where?

Afraid not mate. Just remember it was a really small shop next to a footpath, which was next to a car park. There was a table by the door with a few figures on it- I remember there was a Sandpeople MOC.

Thanks, Andy and Stormcab!

Sooooo chuffed to finally tick this one off my list- it's a Cliro R2-D2 bubble bath. Had one as s kid and used it with my Action Men (they were used as Luke and Han). Kept it for years, but must've eventually thrown it away, as it was only a bubble bath container, after all! They're not particularly easy to find, but three have turned up on eBay within the last few days. Marginally missed out on the first two, but thankfully managed to snag this one in the end.

Now need to find an ESB Dairylea box, palitoy Dengar mailer box and one of the Shreddies scenes and my childhood focus will be pretty much wrapped up...

Really chuffed for you and I would do the same in freeing them. Great job on the footer and bubble on the previous Leia, :)

Mail Away Nein Nunb
ROTJ/TRI Klaatu (Carrefour, Calais 1985)

Vehicles:
SW X-Wing (7th Birthday, Argos, Swindon, 1980)
ESB Snowspeeder (Christmas tree, 1981)
