Paypal added information

Had an email from paypal on the weekend asking for more details, it seems genuine as I logged into my account and the alert was on there. Anyone else had this as it seems a little ott to be honest. Photo id, proof of address and questions for politically exposed people.

I had to provide more information one year where I sold a couple of grands worth of stuff, which I assume was tax related. Never had anything since.

I'll ring them at some point and see what they say. I haven't sold anything for ages on ebay, and if it amounted to £100 I'd be very surprised. My milkman wants paying by f&f perhaps they think I'm money laundering. It's going to be something stupid.

Just a warning if anyone is having regular money via paypal f&F. My issue is due to a "regular" flag on my account due to the milkman. Was not happy, my wife is annoyed, as she`s always said he should be paying the fees as he`s a business. Paypal wont over ride it, due to our explanation, which they can see he`s having a lot of regular amounts since Covid. I don`t see why I have to prove who I am due to paying someone they way they have requested. Grrr !!

I`m surprised it`s taken them so long to spot it , as out of principle I don`t want to give my details., or see why I should.
I do have a nice letter from my MP to verify my address though.
You never get customer satisfaction survey`s when you want one.
