I Never thought id collect MOCs just loose mainly due too the price of moc's vs loose. but after finishing my loose run and loosing interest in the hobby i thought id have a dabble in moc market.I found and bid on an incorrectly listed moc in winter 2012 and won a rotj black bespin guard for £8 inc p&p great i thought! it is my fav moc to date, Iain kindly pointed out it was trilogo hybrid and was a good find. and so it began i thought id buy some more moc's i wasn't bothered about condition along as they were unopened 1980s starwars figures figures :D

I set my self a budget of £15-20 per moc including p&p/shipping ideally the lower £15 banding all in to be honest. It was hard too find figures for this price i missed out on loads when i got outbidded by only a couple of pounds most of the time. weeks would go pass when i couldn't find any mind you having 2 little ones to look after doesnt help by searches lol, i have enjoyed the chase and the thrill of finding a bargain or a beater moc with character.

the winter of 2013 became increasingly hard too find mocs within my price range and had to up it slightly which i cant really afford and i wasnt enjoying the search a much. i have now retired the collection to storage for the time being but i thought i would showcase my collection first

so here it is (poncho's budget moc collection 2012-2014) a year by year of moc acquisitions and my spends year by year and overall spends and proof if your patient and sniff for bargains you can collect on a budget its been fun and frustrating enjoy. at the end of the showcase i will do my top 3 pieces :)

MOCs get everyone in the end dude.
Great collection, that Vader looks far from budget to me!

Finally- a proper star wars collection that's not defined by creases, sticker residue and bends.

Love this collection and the prices you got for it is great.

Happy hunting my friend- your going to have some fun investigating.

cheers liam and jez.

jez- the vader was a steal it was listed on the bay as just starwars figure. it had no bids with couple of days left. i emailed the guy offered him a straight £15 and he said ok, the only time and last time id done a deal outside of ebay i was afraid it wouldnt come.. it did and is perfectly flat vibrant color no edge wear yellowed bubble of course which is common for a rotj card it does have a couple of small black flakes in the bubble from where the cape and has curled around the legs over the years and fell off but card looks mint. from recollection the seller said it was his sons who left it behind at his parents when he moved out.

hey grant cheers for the appreciation. i like creases bends stickers it adds character theyve never been opened which is why i love them! you'll like by 2013 run especially the rancor keeper moc lol. it has been fun hunting them its been hard though

cheap and cheerful and plenty to find and pickup. i bought 4 carded figures about 2 years ago and every one arrived with squashed or cracked bubbles so that put me off for life! but i would be happy with going down the beater route.

you have done really well with this bunch, excellent work! :)

cheers pizza glad you like :) there not all beaters mind ive got some nice ones in there

you should buy some beaters. ugrades are on the rise my friend :?
