Curious to find out if many people have chosen to replace old yellowed / damaged Decal with repro stickers.

Earlier today I obtained a Solid Dome R2 at a good price, but the sticker is peeled. I don't think I could replace it, even though it's tempting & I had previously considered swapping over to a repro Decal for my Sensorscope version, but was ultimately put off by not being sure of the quality of the replacements.

Would be good to know what others think / do

I've opted for having a pop-up R2 with a yellowed worn sticker rather than a replacement but I totally get the idea of putting homemade decals on a bald R2. It looks pretty obvious to me what the real ones are.

I agree from the photos I've seen the repro ones do look ****....some on eBay look like poor colour photo copies & are cut out yourself stickers. It's strange that no one seems to have been able to reproduce a 100% replica of something nearly 40 years old, surely there is the Tech available to do so at home fairly easy ? Are these vintage stickers that special that only industrial machines can create them after all these years ?

No fan of repro but Retroblasting just did a restoration on a R5D4 and the repro decal on him looks pretty good.
