Absolutely gutting!

I saw Audioslave at Brixton a few years back. After a while he went offstage and Tom Morello did a RATM guitar medley. Then Chris came on alone and did about 7 acoustic songs then finished with Black Hole Sun, half in acoustic, then the rest came out finished with him.

I was in shock today when I heard this on facebook One of the greatest singers ever of our lifetime. Have loved Soundgarden for nearly 30 years, saw them a couple of times in the 90's. Can't believe it

RIP Chris Cornell

What an absolute shock this was. He was massively talented and could sing any style of music.

I got into them after seeing the Rusty Cage video on headbangers' ball many years ago. I bought Badmotorfinger not long after and often played Jesus Christ Pose on full blast. And then came Superunknown, down on the upside and then the Audioslave stuff. I never saw him play live but I wish I had now.

I'm totally gutted about Chris. Saw Soundgarden 6 or 7 times and a few of his solo shows. What a voice.
Also mangaged to combine his music with Star Wars with this poster from their 2012 Hyde Park show.
