Ralph McQuarrie has passed away. He was 82 so he had a good innings.

Just imagine how different things could have been if he was not involved with Star Wars.

Yep couldn't imagine the world of Star Wars would've worked out half as good without the creative talents of Mr McQuarrie.

Great innings but sad all the same to lose another icon. RIP

Very sad news. What a driving force behind so much of the creative process for the films. A legend! RIP

I love the Hoth trench one. Be a great inspiration for a story.

RIP Ralph McQuarrie. One of the masters.
