Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot). The first time Kenner made a second version of the same character, and it's a pretty good one! Essential in fact, if you were a child in the 70's and wanted the 'proper' pilot for your X-Wing :-D I loved the first 12 figures released for Star Wars. They were (to my child's eyes) great likenesses, enormous fun to play with, and allowed me to recreate all the excitement of the best film ever made! I loved them and wasn't really expecting any more, and then the next 8 came along and knocked my socks off! The cantina aliens, the droids and Luke X-Wing Pilot were, if anything, even more exciting to me as a 6 or 7 year old than the first 12 figures! They were a most unexpected, but welcome surprise and I adored them all. I was never quite sure why Luke and Greedo's gun hands had joined fingers and thumbs making a tight oval to cram their guns down into, but at least they couldn't drop them! Fast forward a decade or four, and here's what I now have. Three variants (I'd love a PBP, but alas don't have one yet), two raised bar China figures and one Hong Kong, or alternatively, 3 different widths of red helmet stripe ;-)
