Well...

First thing we had as a kid was a Binatone TV master... Probably late 70's/early 80's.

That was pretty much it until '89 when I got the Atari XE

'91 I got the mega drive
'96/7 I got a cheap Mega CD
'98 I got a play station 1 - in all honesty that was it for me, I still have it and still occasionally play on it. In fact I still have the mega drive.
late 99/early 2000 I got my first PC and until now that is my main place for gaming.

Atari 2600 - which I swapped for....
ColecoVision - brilliant.
ZX Spectrum - rubbish.
Commodore 64 - pretty good. Arcade ports were ok. Gauntlet anyone?
- break, discovered girls, music etc, ignored Star Wars for a few years.
Snes
Saturn - underrated at the time.
N64
Dreamcast
Xbox - bought one from EB games in Oxford st and took it unopened to a little mod shop off carnaby street to get it modded with mame. Gaming heaven.
Games Cube - launch night at EB / Gamestation. Star Wars Rogue Squadron and Monkey Ball.
Wii - lightgun games ahoy.
Xbox 360 - for Japanese Shmups.
PS3 - bought on the day House of the Dead 4 was released. Got a bundle with Move etc. Only ever got a handful of games, Dead Storm Pirates / Time Crisis. I was hoping for more light gun shooters.
PS4 - Christmas present with Star Wars Battlefront. Still playing, mostly The Last of Us multiplayer.
PC - finally bought a PC for emulations. Teknoparrot, mame, PCXS2 etc. Plus, I'm a game developer so it's crazy not to own one.
