Early Luke Bespin

Post by Bob_Acid »

In 1980 I had a friend named Neil that got to see Empire early on, my aunt had got us tickets to see it in Leicester Square later and I asked him to tell me everything about it, to Neils credit he didn’t tell me about Yoda or that Vader was Luke’s father.

Anyway I digress.

He did however, sometime in the weeks leading up to that, manage to pick up a Luke Bespin figure from a toy shop in Blackfen, I think Nuxley Toys, I think this was before the film was released, I managed to talk my mum into taking me there over the next few days and all they had by then were the usual 20/21 so was a wasted journey. But he had a Luke Bespin, in hand, and I’m sure this was before ESB release.

Anyway, just thought I’d share the memory 👍

Thanks for sharing this story. It's always good to hear vintage tales from back when the toys were still on sale :-)
