I've seen bootlegs of vintage SW figures that looked like lead toys. Could it be for real?

It was a US Government plot to kill British children who liked to chew on the ends of their toys. :shock:
After a few decades of lead poisoning the US would invade and fill the country with McDonalds, Disney Stores etc.... or did that happen already?
