Chaps,

Has anyone got any good ideas about strengthening a box without the inner supports/insert? Ive got a Palitoy vader tie, and a Jabba that i need to tidy up.

Any ideas appreciated

Personally I fill my boxes with packaging peanuts...

If you want something a bit more stable I would 'line' the original box with thick cardboard, just slide it in against the sides of the box and it should give you extra support. 4 pieces, one for each side, the make some cross shaped pieces of the same size to support the centre of the box. Its a bit time consuming but should give you the support you need.

:D

Edit: that was the long winded British version of what Todd said

just get some plain cardboard and a craft knife and cut some supports out, making slits (no filth please) and interlocking them :)

I may be shot down for this but I bought a few repro marked inserts off ebay.

For me and they are marked. Holds the box shape well. Seeing as most original inserts ended up in the bin!
