Living life on the edge now I've hit the big 40, Saturday night spent with iron in hand :? .
I recently purchased a boxed B-Wing off Evil Bay, as can be seen in the listing pictures the box has seen better days. The rear cone has snapped off the ship and it also came complete with the original batteries still happily rotting away the battery compartment.
Had a bit of a brain wave when trying to figure out how to improve the box, much to the other halves dismay I decided to get the iron out (first time in years  ) and have a go at ironing out the creases.
Here's some before and after pictures and in my personal opinion it didn't turn out too bad. I've also fixed the broken rear cone and tomorrow will have a go at fixing the electrics.
It's always sad to see a vintage item in a sad state but at least now it's being brought back to life a little
