8) 8) link works fine, I want a time machine.

Really interesting to get the views of the Kenner guy, talking about the longevity of the product line, and coinciding with the films, where he states 25 to 30years.
The worry of the advertising on kids, obviously something that they felt strongly about and was apre cursor of things to come that's just accepted now.

The images of all that SW goodness was awesome 8) like I said ...anyone got a time machine,

Thanks for posting bud, great watch ive never seen before 8)

Glad you all like it. Someone posted it on one of the FB groups. It's not very well titled on there. I was pretty blown away when I saw it. There's even quite a funny video from a news report in 1983 on the Jedi figures where the reporter laughs at a man who says he is buying figures as an investment!!!! I'll try and find it again to post it here.

Excellent, never seen that before. Thanks for posting it up.

Looking at the state of some of the figures on the shelves it makes you realise how fortunate we are that so many made it in good condition. Saw a few bashed bubbles and creased cards amongst them.

If I was that shop owner right now thinking back to when I sold all those hundreds/thousands of case fresh MOC figures for 30 pence profit per unit, i'd feel sick as hell lol.

Great vid, the ending almost made me cry :?

That was fantastic - thanks for the link!

Really interesting how the figures were 41 back ESB but nearly all the boxed stuff was SW packaging. Loved how TRU placed the 12" figs through the box fronts too. So much thought in all that.

This was so good, thanks for posting. That dad who was interviewed looked a bit suspect! I reckon he was the one with the fetish. Nice flasher jacket too.....
