It really was £1-$2 made buying from the States a dream. Never seemed to get customs charges eitherscooternick wrote: Amazing price. Pound was strong then too

Another great photo Jason, Mark Alders and Gary Smith look pretty fresh too, Dave doesn't look any different, must be that laid back lifestyle in the new forest

Re: Celebration 2007
Just been through some old photos and found these from 2007. I think the owner of this stand was from the US or Canada but can't be sure. As you can see the selection was huge and there was a lovely three pack. Hard to see price stickers of MOCs. Just thought people might find the pictures interesting....

Re: Celebration 2007
I too what as celebration Europe. It’s a real shame that I didn’t know anyone. I was collecting at that time in total isolation and although I had collected vintage toys, and still was at that time, I was not active. Potf2 and the following lines had jaded me. I think I was more into Star Wars itself than vintage toys.
Being all by myself I don’t have photos of me. But here are a few I took anyway.

Great day. Back before I got back into collecting. Got some great footage. Don't know why it's only 240 resolution though

Thanks for sharing that video, what a great show that must have been.
Unfortunately I can’t see it coming back to the UK in the foreseeable future, there seems to be more argument to keep it state side, shame.

Great to see the photos, I bought the ESB 48B Luke Bespin with Ackbar offer, at the time that was an unconfirmed card on the Kellerman matrix so I was chuffed to pick it up for my focus. It cost me £160 which was quite a lot for an ESB card back then. It got nicked a couple of months later, wonder where it is now.scooternick wrote:Just been through some old photos and found these from 2007. Re: Celebration 2007
Loved that full size Jabba - got asked to stand in there behind the rope and meet a VIP. My mind was picturing Hamill, Baker, Davis etc but instead a young blind lad was led around the rope and I was asked if it would be okay for him to feel the mask & costume so that he could put an image to the character that he’s only ever heard. A very humbling moment and an honour too
