Which lights?

I've bought this Ikea cabinet and am in the process of putting it together. I'm having some glass shelves made (Ikea don't make glass shelves for this model apparently?!) and I'm wondering about lights.
Doing some research it seems there are so many different ones out there, it's confusing which ones to choose? I'm trying to avoid too many cables. A lot of the stuff I've read online is old information so I'm wondering what you guys think. I know it's been asked before but what's the best cabinet lights to use?

Mate there's loads of different types of led lights out there, you definitely want led. The led strip light is meant to be really good. Don't go to the hardware store, get it online off eBay or somewhere. It's nice and small/thin and you cut it to the length you want and then attach the wire/s (to the mains adaptor) to it. I think a lot of them come with a little control pad to set brightness etc. I'm going to do mine one day when I get round to it.

If that is a standard IKEA Billy bookcase (28cm deep) they do make glass shelf's for it.

Search Extra shelf BILLY Article no: 102.867.52 on the IKEA website.

I've got a full room of IKEA Billy bookcases with glass shelf's.

This is the kind of thing, comes on a roll. And you need a few bits to go with it, cables, adaptor etc:

Unfortunately it's not the 28cm deep Billy, it's the deeper one (it's amost like a wardrobe). I ordered the wrong one then the shelves were too small. At first I was annoyed but my girlfriend said "look on the bright side, imagine how much junk you can get in there!) which I couldn't really argue with. It's turned into a bit of a mini project but that's fine. Thanks for the response.

Just out of interest mate, what supports do you use to hold the shelves up? I'm getting glass shelves made and would rather buy some supports on eBay rather than face Ikea?

I use the supports that come supplied with the IKEA glass shelf's, see image. I'm sure you will find something similar on google to suit your glass thickness.

Finally the cabinet is complete. Here are the lights I went with:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00MHTNYWS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I ordered the shelf clips directly from Ikea. There are loads of people selling 'Genuine Ikea parts' online which didn't fit. Thanks to everyone that pointed me in the right direction.

I just need to get the space junk displayed now!
