Hi guys,

I have this Yoda which is a No COO (trilogo?) It's in good condition minus some slight paint wear on the right hand. (Also missing cane.)

Was wondering what snake color I need on this? Would an orange snake be out of place?

Can't seen to find or get a definitive answer.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Yes mate for me it's the brown snake, but I'm no expert!

It's all part of the fun in vintage collecting, trying to match up what's right, but TBF it's all about what your happy with and your budget. I'm a great believer in running with what makes you happy and if the situation arises where you can tweak accessories and the like then do it then, best to not get too bogged down with convention, collect for you and what makes you smile :D

Looks like it is a Meccano or Power of the Force no COO Yoda, so as has been said definitely a brown snake, both of those types of Yoda came with a unique 'rubbery' cane, which if you were looking to complete it correctly may be tricky to find on its own.

Here's a link that I've found useful in the past.

I agree with stu70 that this is likely to be the POTF or Meccano figure rather than a Euro No Coo because the paint apps on the limbs are too dark. From the photo the eyes look true black and the belt a light brown so could well be the Meccano.

The POTF Yoda can be paired with a soft brown snake (prone to degradation) or a No Coo tan snake (doesn't degrade). The Meccano should be paired with the No Coo Tan Snake. Both should have no epms, and sprues in the mouth rather than gates on the side (see last photo for understanding terminology, ignore the fact it's rigid). The common soft brown snake with a gate on the side is for the regular Smile figures only, so both the POTF and the Mecanno snakes are hard to find. The correct canes are also hard to track down.

If you are not fussed a regular Smile soft brown snake and red brown Smile cane would suffice.

Many thanks guys for all the links and pics. I'm really glad I started this thread as I've learned a lot; (Def not a Yoda expert.)

This is more than likely that this Yoda came from a French Meccano ROTJ card. I bought it from a French guy and I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure this was from his childhood collection.

Yes the eyes are true black in person as well.

I think I'll be going the hard path and try to locate the correct accessories for it.
