What is this figure?

Postby Hebdo007 » Fri Jul 26, 2019 9:16 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know what this figure is?

I know it's a vintage Boba Fett but its unpainted. It isn't the rocket firing version that was never released.

I was left a bunch of vintage figures and I know all the rest but this one puzzles me.

Looks like someone has had a go at painting him.

To me it looks like the paint has been stripped to look like a pro type.
I’m sure I’ve seen this done before.

Yeah I’d say normal Fett soaked in paint stripper then scrubbed with a toothbrush.

I agree with all above, not sure why anyone would think it's a good idea either.

Maybe someone has tried to make it look like a proto to sell (scam?) on eBay - what’s the difference in price of a normal one versus a genuine proto type? The difference in appearance will stand out a mile to a genuine collector but unfortunately there’s always someone that’ll get duped :( :(
