The Rebel Commando...

For every Ferrari LaFerrari there's an Austin Allegro. For every Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart there's a Jedward. For every Albert Einstein there's a Donald Trump. And for every good Star Wars figure there's a Rebel Commando ;-)

Sorry fans of this figure (and I know, almost unbelievably, there are some!), each to their own and if you like or even love this figure, then kudos to you for managing that, but I think it's ****. Easily my least favourite figure in the entire line, it looks like an Action Force reject and in all seriousness, because I stopped collecting figures as a child back in 1983 before this one came out, I genuinely didn't even realise it was a Star Wars figure when I first saw one back in the early 90's! I would see them cropping up in collections of loose figures and just assumed its presence was pollution from some other supercrap figure line.

OK, abuse aside, there are some variants to be had, even on this yawn-inducer. He can be found with a moulded and painted face, and also with a very exciting 3 or 4 horizontal lines on the shoulder straps of his backpack! Beat that, Dark Brown Rebel Soldier!

... I'm going to come in for some serious abuse from the RC's fans here!

...Oh well, here's 3 of them anyway :D

Nice variants and again thanks mate for all the great info, I agree he looks like Action Force, I had the same feeling with walrus man when I was a kid he also looked to me like something from Action Force. A diver from Action Force  The moulded face is my favorite :D
