hi folks been lurking for a while thought I'd say hello. Found this in my mums loft today, well chuffed. I was going to sell my childhood collection but after reading the posts on here for a bit I'm thinking of building my collection up.

Great find, you've started with an expensive one, so that's good! Welcome to the forum and look forward to your posts.

Nooooooooo!!! I was in the same position 5 years ago - found stuff in loft, asked questions on here, ended up with a plastic crack habit and no money!!

Well, you're not going to get many voices here encouraging you to let your childhood toys go, and rightly so! I'd encourage you to at least keep your childhood figures whether you expand on that and become a fully fledged collector or not. And if you do, you have there one of the most sought after figures as part of a full loose run. So you have one of the toughest complete figures sorted and it's plain sailing from here. :D

Nice find! You're off to a good start having picked up possiby the most expensive figure first :) as others have said don't sell it, even if you later bought another one in better condition it would never be YOUR one, that cannot be replaced.

That's a great find pop up R2 is often the figure most loose collectors wait until the end to pick up when there doing there run either due to the price or it can be difficult to find a legit saber as there are so many reproduction's out there. Good luck on hunting for your other figures and items please show us what else you find it will be interesting to see what else you come across.

That'll save you the bum-ache of making sure the saber is a real one too.

Welcome.

Here's a couple others I'm a bit disappointed with Luke's yellow arms.

I remembered having more than I found I'm gutted there is no sign of hammerhead. Not sure if all this is star wars as I found a good few action force and a team weapons mixed in.
