R2 pop up - repro spotting

Evening all! Most of you will be aware of the new repro pop-up R2s on ebay. Some differences I can see...

decal is not quite right - too much white space at the top, and sits much lower on the figure than it should (however this issue could be fixed in time).

The biggest difference is at the bottom - it looks slightly different to the vintage -to me looks like the inner ring is possibly thinner/ narrower and it protrudes from the bottom of the fig a tad more - also there is no coo or other markings - so just ask to see a photo of R2s bottom (!) if you are in any doubt (see photo below).

Thanks for sharing unfortunatly another shitty item to keep my eye open for. What will be next.

Good research, Jay. I was looking at these on ebay just yesterday wondering what if any tells the little dust bin had. It looks like, as with other Smithlord Creations, it has an 'SLC' where we would usually see Lucas copyright and COO. Which is good, but doesn't help if you don't have it in hand.
