Luke Skywalker - Last 17 Stormtrooper Helmet

Hi, l've just treated myself and spent a little more than l usually do to a Luke - Stormtrooper Disguise - but lm not convinced with the helmet. I've not seen or held one before so would welcome an experts opinion. Many thanks

I think it's ok, the usual repro of these has a circle on the back of the helmet, although i'm not too up to date on what new repros have been made since, but yours has some wear which is a good sign it's original.

Thanks for that, one of my concerns is that when l tried to see if it would fit over his head it felt like l would have to force it to get it on. I didnt want to do this as l was worried about damaging Lukes head, would that be normal?

No it isn't. It's normal to slightly twist the helmet to get it past Luke's nose, but otherwise it should slip on easily. Also, looking at TIG (https://www.imperialgunnery.com/helmets-hoods) I am very suspicious about the inside of yours as it looks too uneven around the edges. It's hard to say for certain whether it's fake or real from just photos, but I'm sorry to say that yours is ringing some serious alarm bells with me. Hopefully others may be able to offer reassurance though?

Hi yes the inside isn't smooth but quite pitted, it was one of the things that made me suspicious in the first place. Thanks for your input l appreciate your time

It looks like it's a decapitated Stormtrooper that had a fight with a dremel

Also l have just tried again to put the helmet on twisting as you suggested and it still feels like l'm going to damage his nose so l stopped.

The black paint is applied by brush too. That's a no no.

Lejackal - you might be right, l've just added another picture which shows the inside better. The black mark you can see the right eye but at that point the plastic is so thin the eye shows through.

I'm sorry to say that this exactly as Lejackal said.
It's a Stormtrooper's head that has been hollowed out, usually with a Dremel.

If it was purchased on eBay then you're fully covered. You should send it back for a refund whatever the purchase platform, eBay, Facebook etc

I agree it looks fake, if you have bought it on ebay then remember it should not cost you anything ask for your money back also the mail money and if seller want it back then write to seller that he or she also have to pay for the mail back :wink:

I have posted a picture of my luke stormtrooper. If you look at the mask it is nothing like a normal stormtroopers. Certainly not the first edition 12 backs
( much smaller mouth vent in black) but the trilogo stormtrooper mouth vent has more of a black area.
The black vent area on the mouth is still large in comparison and more of a triangle shape ?
The back end of the helmet looks longer than the front, but that could be my eyesight :lol:
