As many of you are aware, long term forum member
@Jez spent three years running as a Stormtrooper and raising money for two children's charities, before retiring his helmet in 2018. But never say never as 2020 sees 'The Rise of the Stormtrooper', as Jez has begun one last huge challenge dressed as a Stormtrooper with the intention of raising large sums for the same two fabulous charities. The two charities are close to Jez's heart, in fact anyone with half a heart would be moved by these two charities work, check both of them out below;

This year Jez is undertaking his biggest challenge yet, running 1000 miles in his costume over the course of the year including a 100 mile run at Pinewood, I've seen first hand what the costume does to his body and this is a crazy challenge. To track his progress and discuss all matter of aspects of fund raising and running myself and Jez have put together a short podcast which will be released monthly over the following 12 months whilst he undertakes this event. An intro show and the first proper show are now released, so check them out and find out precisely what he is undertaking;

RUNNING STORMTROOPER UPDATE
Jez had a hugely successful weekend last week. Waitrose in Wallingford supported his Running Stormtrooper venture and allowed him to set up his treadmill outside the door. Over the course of the day he ran 20 miles on the treadmill and raised £786.57 plus 1 cent, plus 2 Euros, plus an online donation of £5! So a very constructive day on adding miles to his challenge and raising funds for his charities. But that wasn't all as he then ran another 6 miles on the Sunday with 'Run Wallingford', raising an additional £97 plus £15 online. These figures saw him clear £39k, so let's help him reach £40k sooner rather than later!
Don't forget you can donate here;

Another podcast will be out shortly when you can hear exactly how Jez Is progressing

Guys thanks so much for this.
Over the last couple of weeks I questioned if I should even be attempting to do this 2020 Challenge due to the virus: all races being cancelled/postponed, Celebration almost certainly going the same way, people on lockdown and worry everywhere. That said, I am continuing with it because the charities need the support more than ever. Because there are no races the charities are really struggling, so if I can do this to raise a few quid, I should. I don't think i'll get anywhere near close to my original target but even if a raise a couple of thousand it'll be of help to some.
All I need to do is keep the costume from falling apart. Come on baby, hold together!
@Stuart Skinner thanks as ever for your help. Lets record the next one this week whilst I'm in solitary confinement!

New Episode Live
MARCH OF THE STORMTROOPER
In this special episode, Jez and Stu try to turn a positive out of a negative by highlighting that with the postponement of a number of big races, there could be plenty of time to apply for a Guinness World Record. Jez explains all about his 2017 Guinness World Record attempt and dives into the application process.
Join them in this refreshingly positive podcast, which doesn't promise to change the world but could make you smile.
