Displaying ships in a dynamic way
I’ve looked through the “displaying loose in open space” thread but not found much inspiration for ships.
I’d quite like to display my y wing and x wing on a clear acrylic stand, at an angle so it looks a little more dynamic and like it is flying. Has anyone done a similar thing?
If so do you have recommendations on stands?
Also does anyone have references or links to decent Perspex protective boxes for y wing and x wing?
Thanks

Thought Domark from the side think they also did Living Daylights which I had on the Amstrad CPC 464.

There are some great acrylic display stands for ships on ebay, although they are from Australia or the US.Admiral Snackbar wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 9:29 amI’ve looked through the “displaying loose in open space” thread but not found much inspiration for ships.

I thought that Lian @itfciain did some?
Might be worth talking to him?

Ha! I had those spectrum Star Wars games. Forgot all about that. I had them in big cardboard boxes from memory.

Yes, Iain Sanderson rocks up on the forum every now and then, total legend that he is
I started collecting in 2015 and bought my first loose bunch from Iain. I get teary eyed when I think of his affordable forum sales threads

Don't.. I remember him having nice POTF R2 pop up Mocs going for £65 each and near mint Blue snags at about £100-£125 each

Re: Displaying ships in a dynamic way
Quick and easy option is hang them on the wall - I use 50mm cabin hooks. Simple to set up and nice and secure.
My daughter has some on hooks and some on fishing line from ceiling.

I love how those ships hang on the wall, awesome. Especially the Millennium Falcon
