Cardbacks with Correct Figure and accessory

I have been thinking about this for some time.

Why do we not have a thread where we can share info and pictures about which variant figures, weapons and accessory that match each other.

Some of us would like to have the correct cardback variant with the correct figure, accessory and weapon variant in our collection.

Sometimes some of us find childhood collections with figures, weapons, accessory and cardbacks and other members still have their own from their childhood. Why not share all this info and keep them in one thread.

So I was thinking why not use this thread to discuss and share ?

I could make some kind of library in the first post with links, so people just need to hit the link to get the info they need about a cardback.

Maybe like this

Darth Vader

Palitoy 12 Back (Link)
Kenner 12 Back (Link)

etc. etc.

I was thinking that we could share pictures of the cardbacks from front and back, pictures of the figures, weapons and accessory from the front and back. Moc can also help with info where we can ID some variants.

Nice idea, Lars. Would work well in the Reference section, although we could sticky a 'link' post in here for greater exposure. I'd be happy to contribute.

Thanks mate for the support, I agree it would work well in the Reference section, but a 'link' post in here for greater exposure would be great so more members will see the thread. I don't think all members go to the some of the sections :D

Ok here is the first one, I recently picked up this darth vader in a danish childhood lot collection.

It is a Palitoy 65 back with special offer chewbacca bandolier strap.

The stamp is a Hong Kong stamp.

There is zip sound on the cape on that side that is showed on the first picture and it is smooth on the 2nd picture.

It looks like it is a Darth Vader Telescoping Lightsaber V1

Ha. You picked a hard figure for the first one Lars. Vader is a nightmare.

The figure is a family VI figure on Wolff's variant villain coo guide
https://swspaceclub.com/wbobafett/coo-guide-3-0/anh/darth-vader/#a

I believe this family is Uni Toys. You can see similar chest paint on Kenner Uni Toys MOCs if you want to double check. The paint application was later used on the PBP figures which are shown on 2a and 2b of this coo guide.

I can't help you with the cape but the saber looks correct to this variant being one of the flat tip transition thin tips found on later Uni Toys figures. You can see the tiny filament at the end of the main tip.

As to whether this figure could be found on this card. I couldn't tell you. Sorry

Maybe some have the same cardback with the same cape, figure and lightsabre :D so we can confirm it :D

Yes it is a hard one. Thanks for the info, very interesting reading :D

After looking a little bit in my collection I found a darth vader figure with the same coo, I compared the capes and they are the same, zip sound on one side and no zip sound on the other side. saber is broken :( I have had this figure for more than 10 years because I have not writen down where I have it from :( I can also not confirm if the figure was sold with the cape and saber but they look the same as the one I found, paint job is a little different on this vader but it could be a paint job error on one of them. What do you think ?

Excellent work Lars!

thanks jeremy, do you have any info to add to the vader or boba or can you confirm anything ?

I can't help with very many as I have none of my own childhood figures, and very few of those I've bought can reliably be believed to have been from childhood collections with no risk of cross-contamination of accessories. However, I can help with the Palitoy 20 back Snaggletooth...
