how to remove ink, marker, biro, highlighter from figures?

hi guys ive got some loose figures that are in good condition but some are suffering from ink stains, marker pen, pink highlighter.

whats the best way to remove it???

I use Denatured alcohol but that does not work all the time

i searched on here for a thread on this subject but there doesnt seem to be one?

you wouldve thought this would be a popular problem with figures?

lighter fluid is ace at removing ink stains, paint transfer scuffs and loads of other marks and stains from old toys....I use it all the time to clean vintage toys
