carded valuations please

Hi,

I collected Star Wars figures in the 90's at boot sales where they we common and cheap to buy. I amassed a small collection and the last figure i bought was unbeknownst to me and everyone else at the time was a fake which i purchased at a fair for at the time an expensive purchase of £15. My nostalgic attachment to these figures or even the films has long since changed and some of these have been stored for 30 years and i'm debating about making some space and potentially selling them. I'll be the first to admit i've tried to work out what their current value is but its quite daunting to a layman the amount of variations. If i was to sell it would be on these forums whether individually or in a group i just would appreciate a rough valuation.

Welcome to the forum. You have some nice items, nothing super rare or desirable but the excellent condition does add a premium to a couple of them. Here's my valuations:

Teebo - £45
Chief Chirpa - £60
B-Wing Pilot - £75
Rancor Keeper - £150 (this is the rarer '70B' version of the tri logo cardback)
Gamorrean Guard - £40

I’d say higher on Chirpa as the card is so nice, maybe £70?
B-Wing, whilst common is mint, so I’d (personally) pay £90-100
RK - yep, I’d have said £150 is about right but would have based most of that on the crispness of the card.
Agreed on Teebo and GG.

As for the others:
Vader (cracked bubble) maybe £60
Prune Face Tri £60/65
Emperor’s Royal Guard (nice Tri bubble) £150
Bib £40
8D8 £45-50
Emperor Trilogo - £120 (again mint)

I think the highest value single item you have there is the Clipper printed label Rebel Commander - should do well for you I’d guess £500 upwards potentially.

Whilst that one’s out of my budget I’d be interested in the Emperor’s Royal Guard should you decide to sell!

The bubble placement on the toy Toni snowtrooper is all over the place. The seal looks weak as, as well.

That would have come from him really early. That round label has the number of his snoopers cabinet on it I think. He’s had different labels for years and years.

Thanks for the valuations so far guys can i ask what makes the Rebel Commander so sought after?
The Snow Trooper i always liked the figure and it looked so pristine and was expensive compared to the others. This forum has really helped as its shown that my Snow Trooper is almost a textbook example that is shown of this repro on the site, of course i never noticed the arrow at the bubble or the thick glue on the card or even the multiple of iron marks which don't really photo well when i bought him i suspect that given that many more were sold over the years. While i can't honestly remember exactly when i got him it was definitely around the early to mid '90s' if that helps anyone.
I have found Ree Yees and i'll post the Wampa.

This is probably £50-70 in unused condition. The Wampa has the insert and the rarer ROTJ box so probably about £60/70

Simply put there were just less of that card back style produced. Those particular cards were made for distribution by Clipper who sold their products in the Benelux region. Comparatively there were far more produced on Palitoy card backs and far more still produced on Kenner card backs - Clipper card backs in general (whether it be the wraparound label, the booklet attached to the back or especially the printed sticker style you have there) are one of the less common card back types that we tend to see.
