Good day all,

I wonder if anyone may be able to let me know what this Boba Fett figure may be worth if it has been opened / resealed? Is it still worth anything.

Thank ypu all for your help

Does the bubble width and the footer look wrong also?
I think that this is a fake too, sorry.

It's a repro, and not a very good one. Figure looks knackered too so basically the price of a beater - £4. If the gun is real, and not a repro (doubtful) add another £12-14 on top. Nothing if it is repro.

I do hope you paid very little for it.

I don't mean to be rude either to you or the original poster, as neither one of you have claimed expertise in this field, however I seriously doubt Fake Britain's 'various experts' (if indeed that's what they are when it comes to vintage Star Wars figures) would be interested in seeing this thing. It's not just fake, it's so obviously fake as to be utterly laughable. For starters, the figure is clearly very worn indeed with multiple, major areas of paint loss; something which would be impossible if it was new and unopened. That alone proves it to be fake beyond a shadow of doubt.

However, if further evidence were needed (which it isn't), every single other aspect of this card is wrong. The bubble is wrong, the cardboard footer within the bubble is wrong, the hole punch is wrong, the print quality is wrong, the card finish is wrong, the weapon placement inside the bubble is wrong (i.e. it's not taped to the bubble), the card's corners are wrong and the card's colours are wrong. This thing is every bit as convincing as Donald Trump's hair.

These poor quality obvious recarded figures are sadly easily available on eBay and elsewhere. Almost everyone in the vintage Star Wars collecting world knows about them, and no self-respecting expert of yours would want to be seen within a thousand miles of this thing. It would be like asking David Attenborough to verify whether you'd found a unicorn.

Hi All,

We'll have autograph experts and experts from the auction house who specialise in selling film memorabilia. We would love to see this piece as it's interesting to hear about the specific details that identify whether an item is genuine or fake.

Do get in touch if you have any pieces in your collections that have interesting stories - or you aren't 100% sure about.

Thanks,

Emily
