PS1 Game Recommendations?

I never owned a PS1 when they came out, I had a Saturn and N64 instead. The only games I remember playing back then are Ridge Racer, Destruction Derby, and Fifa 96 at a mates house.

So 25 years late I've just picked one up as it was only a tenner, can anyone recommend some good games? Here's some games I like on the above two systems if anyone can recommend similar:

Shining Force
Street Fighter (although only 2D games as I've never liked the look of 3D fighting games like Tekken)
Zelda
Mario 64
Sonic
Sega Rally
Dragon Quest

I never had a PlayStation either but you could try Crash Bandicoot, tomb raider and spiro the dragon to get started

Worms! An absolute 2D classic. My favourite PS1 game for sure.

Most Resident Evil games, Metal Gear Solid, MGS VR Missions, Chase the Express, Heart of Darkness, Evil Dead Hail to the king.

Dino Crisis 2 was always one of my favourites and Star Wars Demolition was fun.

Forgot about the Dino Crisis games always fun. Shame they didn't take off like Resident Evil did.

I used to love medal of honor (honour) UNDERGROUND on the PS1 I think that was the one , long time ago but loved the sniper type aspects of single fighting games , not a fan of the all run forward type games you get now
