I have a mini stormy focus. Would like to add a nice Star Wars carded figure to this little run and then I’ll probably leave it there.

Hi guys, didnt post lately, but cant resist to show some of my Stormies:
Some modern figures in the parade, but a fair amount of vintage ones aswell.
Latest aquisition was a Takara Stormie MoC last year, that I got with the help from a japanese friend. Kind of a grail item for me ever since I spotted it in a book. Never thought I could actually afford one ... However, when I received the "parcel" my heart almost missed a beat. But - no damage to card and bubble. Lucky me ...

A custum figure, since they never made german cards. There is just ONE photo of the german first 12 counter display in a catalogue with Kenner cards, and in the middle, there is this german (probably a mock up) german card. Man I would have loved german cards. Never mind.
Here is the photo of that german display. The pic if taken from the great site theswca.com
If its not cool to repost, please feel free to delete!!!

Fantastic army of stormies, I really love that Takara stormie, I have always wanted one, sorry to read you miss the blasterSnaketibe wrote:The stormtrooper! A great choice, Lars, and a great figure too. Lots and lots of variants to be found on this figure of course, which was available throughout the entire vintage run on a whole host of different cardbacks. The most obvious variant is the Japanese Takara one, which like its cousins C-3PO and Darth Vader, has a similar, but actually completely different sculpt to its Kenner counterpart. At first glance, it looks very similar, but when you stop to examine it properly, you notice the ultra-wide 'child-bearing' hips, the knees and their black paint rings completely encircling them front and back, the extra large 'teardrops' either side of the eyes, the overly rounded base of the helmet, the almost moustache-like sculpt above the vocabulator, and of course most famously of all, the screw in the figure's back.
I love the Takara variant (although sadly do not own the equally unique Takara Stormtrooper blaster to go with him), however the others shown below have a variety of different leg stances and vocabulator designs, ranging from the broad 'pyramid' mouthed, to wide and full, to the quite narrow. There are body sculpt differences too, but nothing anywhere near as obvious as those found on the Takara.
I also provide the COO's for Lars, although the camera flash tends to wash them out and make them hard to see, so I have adjusted them in Photoshop to make them more obvious... which also makes the figures look about ten times dirtier than they really are!![]()
Lastly, I also have a Palitoy 12 back reseal.

I agree so many variants to find between the stormies
