Now we're talking! Where's Jez?

Nice example, Andy. Like the ROTJ box.

Here's mine- missing the odd sticker, but otherwise complete.

Really like that Empire box.
Here's mine, one of my more complete larger vehicles/playsets/carry cases...

A very bulky vehicle.

These are mine:

This one I only sold because I lacked the room to store it:

It is the only one that has escaped the black hole of my collecting closet. Like its movie counterpart escaping Hoth.

The Rebel Transport was clearly a very popular toy back in the 80's, and Kenner were very smart to essentially make it into a carrying case for the figures. I seriously doubt they would have sold anywhere near as many otherwise since it wasn't exactly one of the more 'glamourous' vehicles from the film. I can't honestly claim it's a great favourite of mine, but no collection is complete without one!

Here's mine. It's a bit battered, and at some point I'd like to upgrade it, but it will certainly do for now:

Had one when I was a kid, always used to carry my figures in it when I went anywhere like my grandparents house :D

Had no idea the ESB ones were yellow. Some great examples here, are any variations missing?

I believe that the yellow issue Kenner ESB box was the first release version, before being changed to the blue ESB one like Cazza's terrific example above.

Agreed, although I actually I think the blue box is the nicer looking of the two. I only nabbed a yellow one because I try to collect the first issue packaging of all ships, vehicles and playsets, with Palitoy packaging being my first preference unless, as is the case with the Rebel Transport, Millennium Falcon and Scout Walker for example, Kenner released them for an earlier film than Palitoy, in which case I go for the Kenner version. I did have a Palitoy Jedi boxed Rebel Transport, but I let it go when I got my yellow Kenner ESB one.

Yellow really works on this ships box art doesn't it.
Is it rarer than the other colours? As you don't see it so often.

I believe it is the less common of the two ESB boxes, but the yellow one isn't truly rare either, IHMO.

I adore the Rebel Transport! I picked mine up loose and second hand in the early 90's at some point - But I have no recollection where. Probably a boot sale.
