Job Lot 150 items including YakeFace, EV-9D9 and collectors case

Postby snowed888 » Tue Sep 10, 2019 1:21 pm

Good Afternoon,

I’m listing my childhood collection of Star Wars Figures for sale. I’m selling everything together therefore not willing to sell individual items.

Approximately 140 figures, 99% in excellent condition and complete with accessories (some weapons are reproduction).
Including POTF figures Yakeface and EV-9D9.

Also includes handmade collection case with Perspex cover holding 88 figures.

Collection only from Leeds

Looking for approx £2500 but I’m unsure on prices as they seem to have dropped since I last collected in 1999!

If anyone requires more info/pictures please get in touch on here

As some weapons are reproduction I’m happy for anyone to come take a look before discussing anything further.

Many thanks,

Mark

FYI, I removed your email address from your post. Best for people to contact you via PM and you can then take it email. This is a fairly down to earth forum but you never know who is lurking

Hi Mark

Just a heads up your lumat bow looks like a reproduction so it might be worth you just checking the authenticity of you weapons and accessories to see if there are any more before you procced with a sale.

Just some advice as I wouldn't be happy to find this after I slung 2.5k at a lot.

My oppologies if I'm wrong

Hi.

Thankyou everyone for the help/information. I collected these figures in the late 90’s and haven’t added to it since. I know there will be some repo weapons in there but I’m confident the majority are original (one time I could time the difference but now I cannot at all).

I apologise for not making this clear from the start and will edit the item description as soon as I have finished this post.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark, that's a great collection and you are welcome to sell it here, but I'm afraid we do not allow the sale of reproductions on this site as many people think they harm the hobby. You may not know this having been out of the game for a while, but now the accessories are often worth more than the figures, so drastically affect the value. A complete collection could be worth 4-5k, but well under half that without genuine accessories.

Please can you figure out which weapons are genuine and remove those that are not. You can use this guide: https://www.imperialgunnery.com/identificationguide.htm

Nice collection. If you do decide to sell anything individually I'm interested in Lumat if you have a price, bearing in mind the bow's repro. And er, you're mistaken about prices! Certainly not dropped since 99'

Thanks, Andy

Hi everyone. Thankyou for the information again.

Not one of my sabres past the float test but any support with further confirmation would be greatly appreciated.

The float test isn't definitive for telescoping lightsabers, but from your pics your non-telescoping sabers, Luke Bespin and Jedi and R2 pop up, look repro. The R2 saber in definitely, the other three look very likely from what I can see. But if they all sink then they are repros I'm afraid.

Hi mark, all my original telescoping sabers and sabers float, so if yours sink then I am 99% sure they are repro. I must admit I do not know if there is any variants that maybe sinks of the original.

I do not remember what the pop up saber do for r2-d2. But if I remember correct the original sinks but then again maybe the repro also sinks :?

But maybe lightsaber experts can help you on the forum

The colour of the R2D2 pop up saber screams repro to me there not that dark normaly light green with an EMP on the handle.

The r2 saber is 100% repro, if the others are repro then they would have to of been bought in the last few years as the 'better quality' repro sabers that look legit haven't been out very long.
