Hello ; please not that english is not my first langage. You would have guessed anyway :)

I'm keen on collecting the Disney/SW mashup action figures, such as Goofy/C3PO, Mickey as Luke Skywalker.

As far as I know, these action figures have been created early 2000 in order to be sold in the Disney Amusement Park.

I woul like to know :
- Presently, are these kind of toys available in the parks ?
- Who created these figures at the time ? (circa 2005 I think) ? What's the story behind ?
- How can I detect rip-offs sold on line ?
- Any info, advice will be appreciated !

Thanks :)

Hey
I'll try and help as best i can (i recently had a bit of technical mishap and my action figure databased died so a lot from memory here :( ) - anyway...

The Disney / SW crossover figures ran through the mid 00's 2007 - 2012 and then there were a few convention specials and box sets after that, i think the last figure in the line was 2015. If you are being a real completest there was also a single wave crossover with Pirates of the Caribbean (5 figures), but there is also a single Mickey as Indian Jones figure (well worth getting...)

As far as i know none of these can be purchased from any store anymore. You might find the odd one on a rack at a theme park but it will be luck. The only place to buy these is on-line or at conventions.

These are not cheep figures to find by modern prices. Some of the basic wave figures may cost around £20, but some go up to £40. The box sets and the limited numbers sets from SW Weekends cans cost a lot more. As with all internet purchase check out your seller before you buy, what's their rating, what else are they selling etc.

These are great figures, so much fun and perfectly pitched to the Disney/SW fan (And before Disney actually owned SW as well), can't recommend collecting these enough - but a full set will take a while and cost a bit more than that - Best of luck.
