18 variants of r2 :D

What makes them variants?? I don't get it, they're all the same. I always considered a variant an obvious visual difference of sculpt, paint or accessory.
I'm sure Lars will speak for himself, however I believe he likes collecting figures with different COO's, so I imagine many of his will be ones which in most other respects appear basically the same. Having said that, I can see a few differences in the stickers on several of his R2's, plus there will also be subtle sculpt differences in some others.

Some collectors like to hunt down every COO for every figure, and that's fine with me. However personally, I am only really interested in a variant if there is some kind of visual difference between it and other variants of the same figure. For Sensorscope R2, there aren't really that many differences that leap out at me personally and hence I am content to own just two, mainly because of the different shade of blue on the legs than anything else, as it's the most obvious difference between them (the difference in shade is more pronounced when the figures are in hand, than when flash photographed).

Each to their own I guess, I'm not fussed about the COO either but I can see the appeal. We all except cardback varients with the slightest print difference so why not with the figures?

Well for me it is the difference. Different coo and no coo, different stickers, different plastic, different colour on the dome, different screw at the bottom etc. etc.

Thanks, I could not have said it better myself  and I still have some coo to hunt

I agree, I look after the same small difference on cardbacks as I do with the figures :D

Fair play Lars, if you like to collect the small differences or coo stamps.

I hope that this is not too late to post this?
This arrived today and am really pleased with my latest addition to my little R2 collection.
It's a Canadian R2 77back, bubble a bit yellow but the card is perfect.
