Forum Figure of the Year 2019 - Semi Final - Match 2

After the shock result in the first semi final we had into the second where the only former champion left in takes on Luke Bespin who has his first outing into the semi finals.

Stormtrooper was the 2014 champion but had to wait until 2018 to get his best performance since then when he reached the quarter finals before losing out to beaten semi finalist Yoda. Luke Bespin has reached the quarters once in 2017 but has always been eliminated in either 1st or 2nd rounds outside of that so this year has been a real exception for him.

In 2016 the two met in the 2nd round which saw Stormtrooper gain the victory on that occasion by a single vote. Up to this point that has been their only meeting.

Luke Bespin certainly had the easier group but has had some tough matches in the knockouts including two former champions, he'll be looking for a hat trick of former winners as he bids to make the final

Both great and iconic figures, but Luke pips it to the post for me. One of my favourites as a kid.

Luke for me great figure, so much playability and really nice sculping.

I've plumped for the ninja ginger whinger, and until pretty recently I didn't even like Luke Bespin that much :shock:

Me too. Always found him a bit beige. The Stormtrooper is a first 12 icon. He may be reduced to 4 POA but he's a great figures and the ultimate army builder.

In true Stormtrooper style it looks like he's going to miss out on the final, though.

Think Luke has this one in the bag. Good job he's not up against Vader, he would loose a hand and get told his Dad is a psychotic mass murderer.

Luke Bespin thrashes 2014 champion Stormtrooper and guarantees not only an actual individual character will be champion but an actual good guy too.

Final will be up tomorrow where R2 will take on Luke Bespin
