Hi folks.
I'm new on the block but not new to vintage collecting.
I've a pretty extensive collection but I'm always on the look out for new pieces.
Im hoping to share more of my collection here soon.

Occasionally bits pop up that leave me a little stumped ..
here's one
( I don't own this)
Rotj Luke jedi. 65 back
Kenner
Blue saber but looks like sewn cape.
But cape is on.
Which is odd. But you do see that on the trilogo.
Anyone seen this before?
Looking at the pictures is it possibly a reseal?

I'd love to know folks thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
Dave

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the forum.

That Luke looks like a reseal to me. The bottom right corner of the bubble in the first pic looks like it's been opened and resealed again at some point. The third pic is both blurred and has flash covering the key area, which makes it hard to be certain, however if it has been opened then obviously the valuation will be significantly less than for a sealed MOC. If you are considering buying this, I would ask the seller directly if it is a reseal and also request multiple clear, close-up images of the card, and especially of the bubble and its seal to the cardback.

Thanks.

Thanks Jeremy.

You summed up how I was feeling about it.
That bottom corner is just not right.
I kmow if I had it in hand it would be obvious whether it was a re seal or not.
I've asked for more photos
Thanks loads for your thoughts

just thought I'd follow up on this.
For those who were interested.
So on seeing more pics it's certainly a reseal.
Plus it looks like a bespin saber that's been painted blue. Plus with a black hilt.

I've attached some pics of the item.
You can see the yellow under the paint.
Plus the paint is very textured rather than the smooth original blue saber.

Pics also added or original saber for comparison

Cheers

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear it's confirmed as being a reseal, but at least you know where you stand before parting with any money.
