This arrived in my mailbox today! As most of you know, this was one of the earliest Star Wars Toys released back in '78.

I've had the box for awhile, but no lightsaber to go with it. Patience is key in this hobby. It appears the inflatable "blade" has never been used before and the sticker on the hilt is in great shape.

It's normally the box that's missing with things like this so well done on making it whole again. I remember being very happy growing up with my SW knock off 'Force Beam' (which I still have), but the hilt on these official released ones is much more impressive and the box would have taken me over the edge as a child.

Nice one :D

There have been some amazing new acquisitions shown here lately, well done guys.
I've not posted here for a while, but I wanted to share my latest acquisition which I'm really chuffed with.
I wasn't sure if this will be allowed here as it technically isn't vintage, if it needs to be moved, please feel free.
I've been after a copy of this book since learning of its existence shortly after I started collecting again.
I looked into trying to buy one but couldn't believe how infrequently they popped up for sale and when they did they were inevitably marked or damaged in some way, which was not what I wanted, so I've kept looking...
And finally this fantastic example became available after a chance conversation with its previous owner, a deal was done and I now have it in hand.
As the pictures show this one is a as new condition and with the added bonus of its original mailer which is also in great condition.
I suspect that many may see this as outdated, over priced and no longer relevant but it really is a stunning reference book which is full of Star Wars loveliness!
I'm really pleased with this new addition, which I can assure you won't be going anywhere for a long long time...

Thanks Ian! I only had the knock off version as a kid as well. That's awesome that you still have it.

Haven't had much luck picking anything up for my 20/21 back offerless run at a reasonable price but I did pick up this Gamorrean Guard off of eBay for under 50 squid including postage. The card has a few creases and the bubble has yellowed but it's fully sealed and ding free.

The Gamorrean Guard holds a bit of a special place in my heart as it's one of my only real SW childhood memories. The GG was the only figure I can remember getting a duplicate of as a child and so having a dilemma as to whether to open it up or take it back to the shop and exchange it. I elected to keep it as I really liked the figure, and it became my one and only army builder figure (we'll 1 of 2 anyway)

Nice pick up 8)

I have a fondness for ROTJ figures, think its because it was the first Star Wars film I saw, I was 11 when it was released and have been a massive fan since then.

I have 2 loose guards in my collection, 1 for display and the other is a beater that's being eaten by my Rancor
