I've been keeping a keen eye open for a mint 1977 First 12 Mail Away Figure Display Stand at a good price. No such luck so far. But my searches did throw up this Mint in original mailing box ESB DIsplay Arena Complete with instructions and catalogue, which is also a thing of beauty and happy to add to my collection.

I've not had much in the way of toy related acquisitions lately, but a couple of new autographs from our man Lando and Mr Fortuna.

Also, a bit of a vintage prop related result at the local car boot the other weekend, a 70s Tupperware tub and lid. You might think that a strange one but the lids from these were used for the headrests in the two rear seats of the Falcon cockpit and also as a part to the Sandtrooper backpacks.

I can finally start building my full size Falcon replica now!

This is bloody awesome, what a find on the tupperware hahaha

Here's my latest pick up, been after one for a while. Decided not to buy any more standard ones until I got a dark brown one. Also I regret not buying a VC Jawa when they were affordable, hopefully these won't ever go for silly money. Thing is now I want the white faced variant as well. He's a bit of a beater and wasn't cheap, but still made me smile. :D

I've been really pleased with my new acquisitions this week - top and bottom of a Dairylea box with the transfer sheet, 9 Fun Products stickers (which should complete my run when I can find my other loose ones!), early British Fan Club correspondence, and a Frankel & Roth bag.

Nice Leia, think I was watching that on eBay. Noticed today it was sold.

Just realised this is not the same one.

I don't know too much about it save what is listed on the SWCA. It was advertised on the Kenner ESB45a cards and you could get one by sending in 10 proofs of purchase plus $2. The original offer was valid until 31 May 1982, though later cards had a small rectangular sticker over the original deadline extending it to 31 July 1982. It is supposed to be significantly rarer than the First 12 Action Figure Display Stand. There is an error on the SWCA as there are actually 4 interlocking L-shaped bases as opposed to the 3 it describes.

Great stuff and variety as always. The mailing stand is awesome. Still regret passing one up MIB at my first FF for £40 :/

The Tupperware is cool. Learn something new everyday.

But the winner by a country mile is he cardigan. Just how to display it?? So damned cool :)

Great additions to your collection this week and it's nice to see this slightly different area of vintage SW collecting represented. I remember some of these growing up so I just have to be careful to resist joining in myself :?

Artoo looks like he's had a firework stuck up his arse. Poor little guy. I had to rescue him. Even if he becomes spares!

Collecting since 1994. Never wanted to pay the market prices for a lose Vinyl Cape Jawa. Now patience paid off, when this little fella popped up on ebay as a buy-it-now for € 300/£ 270 including the card with (correct) open bubble. As I had a code, I only paid € 285 /£ 255.
The last few days were a thrill - until it arrived today I could not be sure, if it was genuine. On the auction picture you could see absolutely nothing. But several parameters let me take the risk. Displays great and I think I won't ever come nearer to a VCJ MOC than this.
